A well-functioning social media presence can work wonders for your business. You have already created accounts and profiles to promote your activity on Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Pinterest… and despite this, your sales are always at the same point.

Why?

The e-commerce development company or Magento e-commerce agency must provide a clear answer to this question which, according to some analysis from it, may be found in the level of commitment of your target customers.

All the efforts you make to be present on social networks are ineffective if they do not generate any commitment. The source of your difficulties may be a lack of strategy or a lack of engaging content.

How to create engaging marketing content?

If writing content on social networks can increase its visibility and position itself as an expert, it is important to make readers want to read and therefore to go on your site thereafter.

What you post on social networks must follow a specific editorial line. Publishing and sharing content is good, but relevant content is better because it increases engagement.

So here are some good tips for creating engaging content on social networks.

1. Create content that focuses on the interests of your ideal client.

Defining that content is good or bad is difficult, because it is very much related to your perception of it.

What is considered good and relevant for some will not necessarily be for others! Voting content will be considered relevant if it responds to a nagging request or a need for information.

If you find and create content in accordance with this request, the engagement will surely follow.

Unfortunately, you are not alone on the internet! Therefore having relevant content is not enough, because there are thousands of resources on the internet that can meet the expectations of your ideal client.

2. A new challenge is then outlined, how to attract the attention of your target?

One of the ways you have is to pay attention to your title. It must be neat and engaging, it must clearly describe the information that the user will find in your content.

3. Authenticity of contents

Sometimes it’s important to share a little more personal content than usual, original content. It is necessary to show the human side of your company, its dynamism, because it will create affinity with the Internet users who will feel concerned.

Be light and opt for a humorous tone, which will attract attention and make you laugh.

In addition, do not neglect the visual of your page; it is a major asset essential for a modern and engaging content.

4. Create diverse content

In order not to tire your subscribers, it is very important to vary the contents. So you have to be able to use text, photos, videos, and even gifs.

Today’s user is looking for something new, so if he feels bored by your publications, he will unsubscribe.

It’s no secret that video is a very powerful tool that will allow you to increase your community’s engagement on social networks. To take full advantage of this tool, use a catchy title, a tempting description.

The more your content will generate commitment, the more it will be visible on news feeds of your fans and followers and more it could become viral.

5. Create graphical elements that invite interactivity

If you want your audience to interact with you on social networks, make it easy for them! Integrate graphic and interactive elements into your content.

To do this, you can rely on the tools offered by social networks. For example, with your Facebook page, you can customize the tabs, add visuals or use the applications that are available to you. These tools and applications will help you create more visible and engaging pages for your audience who will be more able to interact with you.

These custom pages can be designed to include a wide variety of features that your target will find, no doubt, interesting.

Once you’ve caught your target’s attention with your content, the second step is to hold your readers, grab their attention long enough for them to read through your prose!

To achieve this, you need an extra boost, a seductive element that will take you to the next stage.

6. Put a personal touch in your content

A good way to boost the engagement on your social networks is to share a little of yourself, to show behind the scenes of your activity or to lift (a little) the veil on your private life.

In general, people who follow you appreciate this type of more personal sharing that generates more engagement.

This strategy is obviously applicable to all social networks, but let’s takes the example of Twitter this time.

Sometimes solo entrepreneurs only put their business name, and their business name on Twitter does not know their name or their first name. This is a shame because sharing your identity is one way to make your account more “human”.

If your Twitter is a collaborative account, you can name the contributors in the bio space.

Participate in conversations, show yourself grateful when people share your content. A simple “thank you” will be appreciated; a response to a message will probably increase the engagement of your audience.

Spice up your tweets with a hint of humor.

7. Create content with your fans

What better way to generate commitment than to involve real people, to make real sharing experiences!

Your best ambassadors are your fans, your customers! Create photo albums, videos highlighting your customers.

Videos in which they use your products, photos on which they have seen them attending your conferences … (Of course, it is advisable to always ask them their authorization).

8. Regular publications

It is important to have a page regularly fed in addition to its diversity, which is why the first essential step before writing content is to create a precise editorial planning.

And it is important to stick to it, because Internet users do not like the pages in disorder all the more as they appreciate the “appointments” daily or weekly.

9. Create gifts, set up contests

To make your content more attractive, you can offer contests, promotions, gifts that will interest your ideal customer enough to join you.

get referrals with special deals during black friday

10. Quality rather than quantity

While the amount of posts published is important, but the quality is even better.

The goal is to create an appointment for users. The fewer posts there are, the more it will make people want to watch them because it’s well known, “Too much information, kill information”.

It’s better to have a small audience that is interested and share your content, rather than an impressive number of subscribers disappointed with your posts. So be simple and authentic, and post QUALITY content!

11. Participatory content

Involve your users in your publications to create proximity with them because if they do not feel engaged then they will have no interest in following you.

So you will show that you have a close relationship with your subscribers and they will all the more interest to continue to follow you. So ask questions, respond to comments… Do everything you can to make your community feel connected to you.

Conclusion

We can say that being present on social networks is not enough to improve your visibility if there is no commitment.

Without interaction with your target audience, without commitment on your part, your efforts will be useless.

By taking the decision to register on social networks, put in place a strategy that will allow you to generate maximum commitment!

Learn how to set up a Facebook Cover Video to make it fit perfectly in the cover area without losing important visual information.

A few months ago you may have noticed that Facebook started slowly rolling out the video cover images feature for Facebook pages.

We’ve already written an article about why you should take advantage of it and how to use the feature here.

If you tested it, you may have experienced this pain: “My video gets cut off right where I had important text or images to be shown!

Don’t worry, in this short article I will show you step by step how easy it is to prepare and optimize the video you’ve created with the Wideo editor.

Specifically so that it fits perfectly in the cover video area without any undesired cropping.

Basically, we’ve created a template with visual guides for you to use so that you know where to add and animate objects in order to make them visible in Facebook cover format.

Something like this:

screenshot of wideo video editor

The white box represents the dimensions of Facebook’s Cover Video.

There are two ways to use this guide template, depending on whether you’re creating a video from scratch, or if you’re editing a template or adapting an existing video.

If you’re creating a video from scratch

1 Create the video with guides

In this case you can start creating your video from within the template itself.

Just click here and the editor will open with the guides already placed in your first scene (the video will also be added to your profile automatically).

All you have to do is to start designing and animating, placing every object that you want to be visible inside the white rectangle.

2 Design with the guides on top

You will always want to keep the grey guides on top of the composition.

To do this, select the “send backwards” option for each object you add to the scene.

To arrange your elements behind the guides, select the object (or objects), click the big triangle in the object menu, and from the drop down list select “arrange“.

You can also arrange the objects’ order by right clicking on the selected object and choosing one of the options on the “arrange” button.

gif animation showing how to arrange objects in wideo editor

The single arrow brings the object forwards or backwards one level at a time.

arrange objects with wideo

And the other arrow sends it straight to the back or the front.

arrange objects with wideo

3 Clone scenes to save time

In Wideo, when you duplicate a scene, the new one will contain the same objects that are found in the original.

So, clone scenes that already have the gray guides in order to start editing a new one that’s ready to go.

4 Remove guides

By default, the guides are locked so that you don’t have to worry about clicking them on accident.

Once you finish the video, you can unlock and delete those guides.

screenshot of how to unlock objects in wideo editor tool

Just click the padlock button and select “unlock all” from the list menu.

Select the object that contains the gray bars and delete it by clicking the “delete” button on the object drop down menu.

Or by simply hitting the “delete” or “backspace” key.

screenshot showing how to delete an object in wideo editor

For more help about locking and unlocking objects click here.

If your video has more than 1 scene, you will need to repeat this step in every existing scene.

5 Shortcut for future videos

As you might know, in Wideo you can mark scenes as favorites so that you can export or reuse them in other videos.

It’s something like having a “bookmarks” scene library.

You can use this feature to always have the Facebook cover format scene template in your library.

The next time you want to create a video for a cover, just insert this scene template.

All you have to do is select the scene that we shared with you the first time you opened the video template (the empty scene with guides).

Then, just hover your mouse over the scene thumbnail and click the “star” button that appears to make it a favorite scene.

clicking favorite scenes in a video with Wideo

You will see the star is shown in yellow now, which means it has been stored in your favorite scenes library.

clicking favorite scenes in a video with Wideo

Now, no matter which video you are editing, if you go to insert a scene template this scene will appear under the favorite scenes tab (star icon).

All you have to do is to click the “add” button to create a new scene.

screenshot showing how to add a new scene in Wideo

Then, select the “favorite scenes” tab (star icon).

add a new favorite scene to your video

The new favorite scene will appear there (you’ll have to scroll down if you have a lot of saved scenes).

Click the scene and it will be inserted into your video.

add a new favorite scene to your video

If you’re creating a video from a template or an existing video

You may want to adapt a template or an existing video to Facebook cover format.

To do this, you can either insert the guides as a favorite scene (following step 5), or you can upload the guides PNG file to your video in order to use it as a reference.

1 Download the PNG file

Click here to open the PNG file in your browser.

Then right click on it and select “Save Image As” to download the PNG file.

2 Upload the PNG image to your video

Once inside the video editor, click the “Images” button in the left toolbar, and click “Upload” in the images menu.

Now choose the PNG file you’ve previously downloaded to your computer and click “Open.”

how to upload an image

Done! You have placed the guides in your scene and you can start working.

Don’t forget to lock the PNG file so you can work comfortably.

Also, apply steps 2, 3 and 4.

Once your video is ready, download it and proceed to upload it as a Facebook cover on your fan page.

Now you can use Video Marketing on LinkedIn by uploading native videos, a new feature to help you reach a B2B audience.

LinkedIn took its time, but now it has finally announced that you will be able to upload native videos to the platform from your mobile device.

There is no doubt that this will be a game changer for your business-focused video marketing strategies.

Among other benefits, uploading native videos will help you make your clients feel much closer to your brand and products, connecting with to them and building a stronger long-term relationship.

You can upload native videos to announce new features, products, stories about your company from the inside, or even live events broadcast to your customers.

Awesome Video Metrics

This feature has only launched to 500 users as a small test, so there’s not much information on metrics yet. But of course one of the best features is metrics.

Besides basic metrics – such as views, likes and shares – you’ll also have access to viewers’ valuable, LinkedIn-exclusive (job titles, work places, geolocation, etc.)

Meanwhile, you can embed videos

If you don’t have the Video Camera icon on your LinkedIn app yet, you can still embed YouTube videos just like on Facebook or Twitter.

Follow these easy steps to embed a YouTube video on LinkedIn:

  1. Go to your YouTube channel and find the video you want to share
  2. Click the share button.
  3. Click the LinkedIn icon. A new pop-up window will appear.
  4. Create your update in the new window.
  5. Click whatever options you want.
  6. Click Share.

screen shown to share youtube videos

And that’s it! The video will be embedded in your timeline.

Conclusion

This is another great sign that Video will continue to grow in every field and on every platform.

Video is one of the best communication strategies for your business and a very powerful tool in terms of B2B segments.

Just keep checking your LinkedIn mobile app to see if you have the video camera button in the posts section.

An Intro Video on your Landing Page that explains your value proposition is the best way to send visitors to the next stage of your funnel.

In this article, I will cover the steps to create your intro video using Wideo, a very easy-to-use intro video maker.

What you need to know before making an intro video

  1. Have a goal. You must know what it is you are trying to say with your video before you start making it
  2. Know your target audience. Before you say something, you must know who you’re talking to. This will help you to know how to engage your audience and provide the value they need from you in order to want to do business with you.
  3. ⚡ Be concise. The average attention span on the internet is getting shorter each year. You should be able to capture attention and explain the main concept in a few seconds, not minutes.
  4. Tell a Story, no matter how short your video is. Remember, brains love to watch stories more than anything else.
  5. ALWAYS Include a Call To Action. At the end of the day, you want your audience to do something: buy from you, follow you on social media or share your video.

Let’s get started!

Step 1: If you haven’t already, you need to create an account on Wideo.

Go to https://wideo.co, and sign up. Once you activate your account by confirming your email, you’ll have access to the editor.

Sign up in Wideo to start making videos. . .

Step 2: When you enter your account, you’ll be direct to the templates gallery.

Wideo Templates Gallery

Choose a ready-to-edit video template from the gallery for your business intro video. In this case, I will work with the “Generic Business Presentation Video”. Click to preview it, then press “Edit.”

This will open the video editor with your selected template. Now you just need to customize it with your text and images.

Wideo Editor

. . .

Step 3: Go through the scenes you want to edit. Double click on any text to change the default wording to your custom text.

You can also change the font style, color, or size if you need to.

Replace placeholders by clicking on them, selecting a file from your computer or the editor library, and editing the video to suit your brand.

You can also watch this detailed video about how to edit a template.

Find more tutorials here

Step 4: When you’re done, exit the editor to access your Wideo profile.

Close video editor

Then click the “Share” button to download your video as an MP4 video file in full HD. You can also share the video as a link, or embed it on your website.

You’ll receive the download link via email. Then you can upload your video to your landing page, social networks, blogs, etc.

You can also download your video from inside the editor or from the video preview page (see how)

Start taking advantage of the power of Video Marketing

The use of video has been on the rise for the past few years because of its’ effectiveness

Including video in a landing page can increase conversion by 80% (EyeView).

“The human eye is much more likely to stop on a piece of video content too”

So don’t miss out on it’s benefits and level up your video content strategy by making your intro business video today.

Have you had success using video as a conversion driver? What was your most effective video for your online marketing strategy?

Creating a Facebook video ad has never been so easy. You don’t need special skills or previous experience — all you have to do is follow a step-by-step process.

If you’re familiar with creating ads on this social network, video will take you to the next level.

Facebook video ads receive up to 30% more views and populate up to 11 times larger in news feeds. Also, a video is more memorable and likely to be shared.

It’s also said that by 2020, over 75% of mobile data traffic will be video. Check this 2020 Mobile Video Traffic Predictions if you need more excuses to keep reading.

And I’m not sharing this with you just because I’ve read those stats. I’ve also tested it with my team. We saw an improvement of 224% in our Facebook Ad campaign CTR using Video versus a static image ad.

facebook video ad ctr metrics

In this post, I will try to teach you the basics of how to effectively create Facebook video ads, as well as how to create videos easily with Wideo to get awesome conversion rates and engage with your target audience.

In fact, you can even use the very same video I created for this campaign. (Scroll down to find the link.)

Let’s go!

Create a Video

You can start with a simple video filmed on your smartphone.

If you already have a video, you can jump straight to the Create the Ad section.

Your video doesn’t need lots of production to engage your target audience on Facebook, because people watch all kinds of content there.

Think of your own habits. You probably scroll down looking for interesting and easy-to-understand content while you relax and have fun.

At Wideo, we’ve tested different kind of videos. We discovered that we get the best results with  simple and short animated videos, which are very fun and get straight to the point.

Also, they’re very easy to create using our tool.

Here’s how you can make your own:

1 To start, define your ideas

lamps hanging from roof turned on

You probably already have great insights about your desired customer, so that will be your audience! Think about the best approach to reach them.

Are they children, adults, or mostly teenagers? This can help determine what kind of graphics or words to use.

What is the value proposition you need to sell to make them click your CTA?

Remember, you are competing with tons of other content to stand out. Make sure your message and promise is attention-grabbing and clear.

Read more about what a good video needs to succeed.

2 Get a Wideo account

If you haven’t done so already, sign up for a free 7-day trial. (You will need a plan to download the video.)

Create a video in minutes

You can pick a template to create your ad or start from zero. If this is your first video, I strongly suggest starting with one of these video templates:

Generic Business Presentation

edit button

Business Video Template

edit button

Business Video Promotion Template

edit button

Find more Video Templates here.

Once you’ve found a template that fits your needs, it’s just a matter of spending a few minutes to change the text and images.

If you need more help, here’s a 2-minute video that explains the basics about editing your first template.

If you want to dig deeper, visit our learn page. It’s full of short videos that will turn you into a marketing video master.

As I said above, you can also use the very same Video Ad I created for our own Facebook campaign, which improved our ad CTR more than 200%!

Just go here and click the “reuse” button.

screenshot about how to reuse a video in Wideo

Try to limit your video to 15 seconds, which is the optimal length recommended by Facebook itself.

Every detail is important to increase the success of your video.

Facebook also recommends limiting the text in video ads. Try to keep it to a minimum to avoid Facebook restrictions.

This makes sense considering that human eyes and brains are more likely to focus on images than text.

And if you include human faces, you will get even more attention. This is a neurological fact; you can read more here.

3 Download the video

As I’ve said above, you will need a paid plan to download your video.

On the pricing page, you’ll see that you can download up to 10 videos/month with a Basic plan.

Basic costs just $19/month if you choose the annual billing option. That’s a good place to start.

Once you’ve finished the video, it’s really easy to download it to your computer.

4 Create your Campaign

This is a really simple step-by-step process, so you don’t need to be a super online marketing ninja or have complex skills to do a good job.

Remember, I’m just a designer and even I could do it 🙂

Go to your Facebook page and click the little arrow beside the help icon. Then, from the drop-down menu, select Create Ads

Define Objective

You will be directed to the main Ads page, where you can choose the objective of the campaign.

In this case, we will create a campaign with the goal of engaging more people on our Facebook Page. Which means more likes, comments, etc.

Select Engagement from the list.

Now let’s click on Page likes. This is what we want to get from this campaign. Then give the campaign a name related to its main objective and click continue.

Add a name that makes sense to you for your set.

A set is a group of ads that share the same budget, schedule, delivery optimization, and targeting.

So give this group a name and then play with different versions of the ads within this group.

step in the process of creating facebook video ad

In the Page module, select the Facebook page you want to promote from the drop-down menu.

selecting the Facebook page you want to promote

Create your audience

Choose one or several desired audience locations. You can just type in the input box and Facebook will suggest results.

Keep scrolling down and fill in the detailed targeting section by typing keywords you know your potential audience is looking for. Again, Facebook will give useful suggestions to make this work even easier.

exclude people who like your Page from the Connections drop-down.

Make sure you select exclude people who like your Page from the Connections drop-down.

With this option, you avoid reaching (spending money) on people you’ve already engaged.

Finally, click save this audience. You will be able to use the audience you’ve just created for future campaigns.

exclude people who like your Page from the Connections drop-down.

In the next section, Placement, we will follow Facebook’s advice and leave the default option checked (automatic placements).

Budget and Schedule

Here is where you’ll define how much you’d like to spend and when the ads will be shown.

In this case, we are using a daily budget, so you can pick a custom start and end date.

Hit continue. We’re almost there!

Here is where you’ll define how much you’d like to spend

Now select single video in the format module, as we are going to create a video ad.

select single video

You will be asked to upload a video from your computer or select one from your Facebook library.

Preview Image

The next step is to decide which thumbnail will be shown as a preview image before the video begins to play. This is very important!

choosing video thumbnail

This is the first potential point of friction that will affect your ad.

Think about how you would react to the thumbnail the first time you see it while you’re scrolling through Facebook content.

Make sure to select the image that best represents your content, either from the suggested options or by uploading your own from your computer.

You play the video on your computer, pause it when you get to a good frame, then take a screenshot of that frame.

Just in case you don’t know how, here is more on how to take a screenshot of a selected area of your screen for MAC and PC.

Text

Write a short and good text for your ad. You can check how the ad will be shown with changes updated in real time with the preview on the right.

Write a short and good text for your ad.

This is another key piece of your video ad (or any Facebook ad you create).

Make sure to write a clear and believable value proposition to explain why people should click on your ad.

Then click the green confirm button to go to the final stage.

Set up A/B testing

This is a great opportunity for you to experiment and see for yourself how video performs compared to static images.

Click your ad checkbox and press duplicate.

The easiest way to do this is to duplicate the video ad you’ve just created and replace the video with an image.

Click your ad checkbox and press duplicate.

This will create an identical copy of your ad and another window will appear.

Select Image instead of Video.

Facebook may suggest an existing image, but you can click clear images to upload a new one.

clear images to upload a new one

Click upload and select an image from your library or upload a new one in the image browser pop-up that appears.

select an image from your library or upload a new one

Once you have the right image for your ad, click review draft items and then confirm it n the next window.

Measure

None of this makes sense if you can’t measure which option performs the best so you can continue to optimize your ads.

To have the most important engagement metrics in your campaign main page, click the “+” button at the right of the column titles to add custom columns.

A drop-down with suggestions will appear. Click add other columns.

Look for “Impressions” (you can enter the word in the search input) and click the checkbox to add it to the selected columns.

Now, drag the impressions rectangle (at the right of the screen) to the top of the list so it’s the first thing in your metrics panel.

Repeat this steps adding CTR (All) and Clicks (All) columns. Finally, click apply.

This is how your campaign dashboard should look like with the columns you’ve just added, plus the A/B testing (Image Vs. Video).

All you have to do now is activate both versions by clicking the toggles.

That’s it! You’re now running a Facebook Video Ad!

Conclusion

Facebook Video Ads can significantly improve the effectiveness of your campaigns.

That means more engagement with your target audience, and more conversions, which means greater profit.

Try A/B testing previously created image ad campaigns with video variants, then measure the improvements.

Once you see the results for yourself, you’ll probably want to start investing a little more time on short videos.

I hope this guide helps you increase your conversions.

Good luck!

When collaborating with clients and multiple teams on a project, simple and clear communication helps lead to amazing results. Using videos is one major way to achieve effective communication.

Each phase of a project requires presenting ideas, exchanging information, and sharing feedback. Video—in the form of tutorials, explainers, or other relevant formats—condenses complicated ideas and allows your business to be more productive.

WaveMaker uses Wideo’s video tool to communicate better with their clients. Read their story below.

With Wideo we can explain a long story in a couple of minutes” says Noorul.

This leaves more time for them to tend to the unique needs of each client project, deepen customer relationships, and ultimately, launch products faster.

Results

Ideas for communicating better with clients video

No matter your industry or company size, video content can play a role in improving your communication and elevating your business. With some planning, producing video is seamless with our template library. Here are some ideas to help get you started.

Start with an intro — An explainer video provides an overview of your business, your employees, the services you provide, and how they help your customers. It’s the perfect introduction to make in your onboarding email campaign or whatever channels you use to build customer relationships.

Create a tutorial video series — A video series (such as tutorials or webinars) addresses many different frequently asked topics for people who are new to your business and those who are already familiar with it. They are also a great educational resource for guiding people through the customer journey.

Case study video — Inspire people by showing them an example of how your business has helped other customers with needs similar to theirs. A case study video shows that you understand how to create results for your audience.

Show some personalityClient communication doesn’t have to be entirely instructive. Use videos to show your brand culture and personalities.

When done right, animated explainer videos can become a central marketing tool for any business. Explainer videos encapsulate your brand identity in seconds and rich visuals. And many times, they are one of the first pieces of content your audience sees when they search you online.

Because of animated video’s visual nature, they are perfect for simplifying and representing the most complex of ideas. The European Cockpit Association began using Wideo to make explainer videos for their Facebook and other social media channels with this goal in mind.

Challenge

The European Cockpit Association (ECA) is an organization that represents the interests of European pilots to the European Union. Their online audience has a limited knowledge of aviation and so their digital strategy revolves around the communication of complex messages that help educate followers.

Because their ECA is a non-profit with an in-house marketing team, they needed a video solution that kept production costs low. Their ideal video marketing tool also needed to be user-friendly and allow for full creative control.

Solution

ECA has produced several animated videos that take complicated information and repackages them into engaging and beautiful communication. They upload their videos to Facebook, where they have been able to spread the reach of their videos to new audiences. Their videos have also enhanced social strategy on Twitter, YouTube, and Vimeo.

Results

With a single video, ECA has generated 294,000 views on Facebook. They estimate that this is more than 50 views per each of their followers. Video communication has improved ECA’s overall online engagement and is now a key part of their marketing strategy.

Best practices for Facebook video

Make it relevant to your audience.

With Facebook’s autoplay, you have just few seconds to capture the attention of your audience. Make sure that video’s message speak directly to their needs and interests from start to finish. If you have different audience segments, consider create unique videos tailored to each one.

Nail the storyboard.

Planning each scene of an animated video takes time and the storyboarding stage of video production is crucial for creating maximum visual impact. And because the first few seconds are so important, the video imagery should be dynamic enough to entice the viewer instantly.

Tell the story with or without sound.

Since Facebook videos autoplay with sound muted, optimizing videos with the right title imagery and on-screen text and is also crucial. The audio should elevate your communication but not be required for people to understand the video.

“Using Wideo, we achieved a 12x increase in ROI after just a few days.”

Bridget-Sibthorp-Moecker

Video traffic has not stopped growing since the beginning of cat videos. From search results to social media, that growth is ubiquitous. Video content accounted for 64% of the world’s internet traffic in 2014, and now, two years later, Cisco has published a study predicting that by 2019, online video will represent 80% of global internet traffic.

Consumer behavior is a major force behind video’s popularity so it’s important for businesses to understand how the two fit together in order to tap into the potential of video marketing. If your business provides client services, you might find that online video is ideal for connecting your clients to their target audience.

Lee Enterprises, a media company, found that the videos they created with Wideo’s video solution not only improved their client communication but also increased Lee Enterprise’s return on investment for client projects.

Challenge

Lee Enterprises is a leading media company that publishes local newspapers, classified, and other publications. It also provides online services such as websites for the newspapers.

Producing client video was a time-consuming process for Lee Enterprises. Another limitation they faced was that they weren’t able to achieve their desired quality of video designs with the tools that they were using.

Solution

Wideo’s user-friendly and flexible editing tools allow Lee Enterprises to create beautiful videos in less time. Now, the company uses Wideo to produce classified video ads and other forms of visual content for their clients’ websites, improving the experience of client websites for visitors.

The marketing video production time that Lee Enterprises saves also creates new potential for business growth. “With time we save, we can focus on creating more videos to increase our revenue,” says Bridget.

Results

Lee Enterprises has streamlined their video production process. They can add value of their client projects with a simple video ad or other video communication. As a result, they’ve generated a 12x increase in ROI.

Designing compelling marketing video

On social media, visual elements are at the core of platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, and people expect to see the most relevant images and videos front and center when they open their feeds. In some ways, video content is inescapable; Facebook auto plays videos in the News Feed. But how can you get people to engage with your video past the first few seconds?

The design identity of your marketing video is crucial for hooking customers online. And although video design requires some planning, striking the right visual balance will help create lasting impact on your audience.

Here are some quick tips for creating compelling video design.

Create a mood with color — The color palette you choose helps set the tone. You can also change color in key moments throughout the video to help drive emotion. Here are some ideas for color schemes.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match typography — No matter the font or fonts you choose, be sure to remain consistent. Starting a video in one font and ending it in another results in disharmony.

Support ideas with great imagery — Whether you’re using graphics, photos, or a combination of both, balance your visual elements in a way that highlights ideas rather than muddles them.
